Volunteering through Collier County Parks and Recreation is a rewarding way to make a positive impact in your community. Through our programs, volunteers increase their social network/make new friends, share their existing skill sets, mentor others, learn new skills, stay physically and socially active, earn service learning hours and so much more, all while taking an active role in their community recreation programs.
The Volunteer Program offers flexible hours and works with your schedule! Applications are accepted year-round, and volunteers may choose to work in one location, or move throughout the county. Opportunities vary based on the needs of each location.
Safety is a top priority within the Volunteer Program. Any person seeking to volunteer 10 hours or more must also clear a background check. If you wish to volunteer on a regular basis complete the Volunteer, Parks and Recreation application and a background consent application online.
Volunteers must be at least 13 years old to participate. Applicants under the age of 18 must submit a Parental Permission Form. All volunteers are background screened annually if they serve more than 10 hours. We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities, flexible schedules, volunteer training and recognition events.
