239-249-2021Collier County Parks & Recreation Department has sponsored Snowfest to the public since 1985. Snowfest is one of Collier County Parks & Recreation Division’s signature events, and the event was established with the concept of giving the community the thrill of getting to play in snow in 80-degree weather. Starting out with only 5 tons of snow and a few hundred people, the festival has grown to become Collier County’s largest community event, attracting thousands of people.
Snowfest has many attractions, but the leading attraction is the 100 tons of snow. 1200 blocks of ice are trucked in and put through an ice chipper, which is magically transformed into snow. Other attractions include a full scale carnival, entertainment, hands on arts & crafts, food vendors, and more.
Snowfest attracts individuals of all ages, from infants to grandparents. Neapolitan Family Magazine even awarded Snowfest, The Family Choice Award - Best Fun for the Family - Festival or Event for Kids. Since its inception, many other Florida cities and counties have contacted us about the event to establish their own snow festivals. The department is very proud of the success of Snowfest and strives to make each year more spectacular than ever.
Snow is cold, so be sure to bring mittens or gloves, hats & perhaps even boots.
If you would like to participate in Snowfest, simply download the appropriate application, and fax to the Collier County Parks & Recreation Department 239.252.3002.
The success of Snowfest depends on a strong volunteer base. If you are interested in volunteering at SnowFest, please fill out the Special Events Volunteer Application.

Did you know that July is Parks and Recreation Month? It’s true! Since 1985, America has celebrated July as the nation’s official Park and Recreation Month. National Parks and Recreation Month brings focus to a community’s park and recreation assets and encourages the community to participate in quality leisure activities at local, regional, state and national parks.
To kick off Parks and Recreation Month, come join us, and celebrate Independence Day Naples style at the free 4th of July Celebration proudly brought to you by Collier County Parks and Recreation Division along with the Veterans Services Division.
Locals and visitors alike agree that they cannot think of anything better than relaxing with family and friends at this enormous park, watching an extraordinary show of lights in the sky. This is everyone’s first choice for 4th of July celebrations in Naples.
So, gather your lawn chairs, your blankets, and your friends and family for a night of good old-fashioned fun.
