Collier County Parks & Recreation Division rejoined the ranks of elite parks and recreation agencies across the county by earning their fourth accreditation through the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA) and the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA). This distinguished accomplishment was awarded during the 2020 NRPA Annual Conference: A Virtual Experience. Collier County Parks & Recreation passed all 151 standards. Collier County Parks and Recreation Division has achieved reaccreditation by the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA). Parks and Recreation passed all 151 standards with a perfect score making them one of only 154 park and recreation agencies in the country to currently hold national accreditation. Collier County Parks and Recreation has been awarded the 2010 Florida Recreation and Park Association’s Agency Excellence Award. This award recognizes and honors the state’s most outstanding Community Park, Recreation and/or Leisure Service agency for excellence in Parks and Recreation management.
