Parks & Recreation Facility Openings & Closures

Open or Modified Services

All parks, preserves, beach parks, beach accesses, and boat parks including amenities are open with CDC guidelines in place

  • Fields and Courts are open with CDC guidelines in place
    • Single or small group skills of 50 or less
    • Restrooms and picnic pavilions will be available for use
  • Dog parks are open with CDC guidelines in place
    • Summer Camp will be held from June 8th thru August 7th, from 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with CDC guidelines in place. There are a limited number of spots with a camper to counselor ratio 9 to 1. Recreation and Community Centers remain closed to others during this
  • Collier County Beach Parking Stickers will only be available at the following locations starting Monday, June 8th through Friday, August 7th, 2020. During this time the division will be following Summer Camp CDC Guidelines for the safety and health of our campers and staff and beach stickers will not be available at community centers during this time.
  • Beach Parking Stickers will be available Monday – Friday from 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. at the following locations:
    • Donna Fiala Eagle Lake Community Park Fitness Center
    • Golden Gate Community Park Pool
    • Fred W. Coyle Freedom Park
    • Immokalee South Park
    • Naples Central Regional Library
    • Marco Island Library
    • Sun-N-Fun Lagoon Waterpark Ticket Office
  • Boat Launch permit are available Monday – Friday from 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. at the following locations:
      • Donna Fiala Eagle Lake Community Park Fitness Center
      • Golden Gate Community Park Pool
      • Immokalee South Park
      • Sun-N-Fun Lagoon Waterpark Ticket Office

Fitness facilities are open implementing new hours of operation with CDC guidelines in place.

Closed or Cancelled Services

  • All programs and classes are cancelled until September 1st
  • Community Centers are open only for summer recreation use
  • Sun-N-Fun Lagoon closed for renovation
  • Immokalee Playgrounds will be closed until further notice
  • Gordon River Greenway Park, Oaks Neighborhood Park, Pelican Bay Community Park, Sugden Regional Park playgrounds are currently open. Beginning June 24th all playgrounds will be opened except for those associated with community centers where summer recreation is being held. The community center playgrounds will be open to the public on weekends until August 8th.

Please be advised, while Collier County has resumed accepting reservations for pavilions, campsites, and other amenities, the county continues to take a phased-in approach to re-opening facilities using guidance from the Centers for Disease Control. As the county continues to monitor and evaluate new data with partners at the Florida Department of Health, guidelines for the number of people allowed or social distancing recommendations may change.
